| Silicene is a single atomic layer of silicon thin film, with a graphene-like structure. Thus, it has various unique thermal, chemical, optical and electrical properties similar to that of graphene. In recent years, silicene has attracted wide attention of researchers, as a new type of two-dimensional Dirac electronic material, Silicene in the theoretical calculations and experiments has made a lot of new progress. In the case that previous studies of silicene by edge passivation, doping, applying electric field, stress or surface functional group modification and adsorption ,here the effects of different doping on the properties of silicene are focused on research combining with the current trend of development. In addition, the application prospect of silicon-based electronic devices in the future was also discussed.
