In this paper, barium hexaborate Ba3B6O9(OH)6 was synthesized by hydrothermal method, and analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), comprehensive thermal analysis (TG-DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The molar dissolution enthalpy of Ba3B6O9(OH)6 in 0.9995mol·dm-3HCl(aq) was determined by microcalorimeter to be (32.34±0.58) kJ·mol-1, and its standard molar enthalpy of formation was calculated to be -(7130.664±4.2) kJ·mol-1. In addition, the molar enthalpy of formation of [B6O9(OH)6]6- was estimated to be -5517.744 kJ·mol-1 by group contribution method. |
